gumption part two

01/06/2025, pt. 2

walking

from an apartment i rent alone

from a room i painted

from a bed i stumbled into

from a laptop i bought

from this idea of collected change

within a unit

walking is one of my favorite things to do. it's how I've spent most of my time over the past few months. walking around cities housed within the beautiful country of America.

i knew i couldn't just idly walk for much longer

so i began to think

began to notice idleness as something that needed to change

began to consider building

again

consider:

how could i put something i love to do

to use

in a practical way?

by changing it's shape.

as i walked around Chicago

i began taking pictures of places i'd like to reach out to with the intent of finding work or a place to introduce toolboxearth

i began wanting to foster relationships again

and taking pictures of places

led to all different types of pictures

led to all different types of fostered relationships

i began handing these pieces

i never thought i could hand over again

to Chicago

and i've found fostered relationships

that have become a kind of family

to me

here

walking with newly found purpose

through the streets

of Chicago

so far:

treat, shoes, harriet tubman, visitor, capitalism/monopoloyman/freeus, anne frank, the poet, fallen food, watertowers, dead creatures, blonzo, murals/proper street art, smiles, handwritten things, free Gaza&Palestine/Israel, misc./funny, heart people

jury's out on:

scrunchies(shows a circle in time but eh look at that list), rubberbands (cool, but frustratingly abundant and, again, cc: the list)

i gotta get organized and compile these

if it's going to keep moving

forward

to show you

these friends ive found

on the streets of chicago

with new weavings coming soon!

with unknowing, undeniably guided hands,

as a bottom feeder,
